'Liminal' is a collection of pieces where I focus on ‘intermediate spaces’, the spaces between. The meaning of liminal differentiates depending on the context. It is a concept explored from the perspective of anthropological architecture or the political.
The pieces all make reference to the transitional space between what has been, and what will be. It is relevant for being a fluid portal in between times where there can be a lack of hierarchy, or clear definition, promoting unexpected changes that can allow alterations to the logic, or structure taken for granted until that moment.
Marble, mirror, glass, sand, metals, cotton, and wood create the art pieces of the Liminal series, where my intention is to find a place where the real and the transcendent meet.
